i fixed my door jam switches the other day and now my dome lights don't turn off...i checked all the fuses and nothing is wrong with them. and i have 4 wires(2 hot, 2 ground) behind my stereo, i know for a fact that they are dash lights(voltage shows only when dash is lit and they had lights on them at one point). where do they go? when i got the truck one was hanging out of the dash by the cigar lighter and the other was buried behind the dash.

any input would greatly be appriciated

 

Sounds like the switch is not closing properly or the switch is bad or the wires to the switch is grounding out.
