I'm moving this to the 1st Gen Dakota subsection for you. You'll get more responses here, a lot of people don't look at the general all-dakota section.

You need a good set of sockets, metric and SAE, a couple of wrachets, mallet, screwdriver assortment, torx bits and a cordless driver...and take a look at the 95 service manual in the FAQ section. Download it and study the chassis/body diagrams...print the pages that apply to what you will take off the boneyard truck and take that with you. A bud or two, and some beverages of your choice and you are all set.

pretty sure the smallest socket you need is 1\4 and the largest is 1\2 inch. you'll need lots of extensions to reach some bolts, long shank screwdriver ( Phillips ).
anyone has a tool to add through it in.

A backpack or a duffle bag is an easy way to carry tools. Or get a hand dolley/ hand truck (it has lots of names).
