Default I really need some advice.. Please help

So, I've been driving the Dak alot recently and I keep getting this weird issue, sometimes everything is fine and then other times it just plain scares me.... it's not good. I don't feel it's safe.

So far this has happened regardless of gear 1st, 2nd & 3rd it doesn't seem to matter. Although it seems worse in the lower gears. I'll drive off in 1st and I get this crazy hesitation/bogging down like I'm putting on the breaks and then accelerating and I mean it SLAMS the truck back and fourth sometimes, I don't know a better way to describe it then that. The slamming seems very dangerous, I have to put my foot down hard on the gas to get it to recover it's really strange!!!

Also It's recently been idling high, before It'd get a little shaking probably because of the exhaust, but now it seems like the rpms are up on the idle. I don't know if these 2 things are related because it was doing that before the other thing first.

My trans also has a leak, I need to fill it again I'm sure. I just need to know what the deal is so I can fix it or know where to start.

btw v6 5spd manual

A vacuum leak can cause idle and hesitation issues.

Nope no check engine light. I'm going to look for a leak today. And I might check my EGR and just replace the gasket while I'm at it. Dos anyone know a good way to clean up the EGR valve if it's got alot of carbon buildup?

Ok, so I went ahead and checked the EGR... HOLY S^&T it was plugged up bad. There are 2 holes one for air and one for exhaust? The round one was completely blocked on the egr. I spent a good 15 mins cleaning it up. I used carb cleaner a flathead screwdriver & a wire brush to get it all out and put in a new gasket. I started it up and what a difference! I took it around the block and I think it's the best my truck has ever run. I'm hoping I fixed the issue. 3 dollar fix!

PCV Valve.. and the breather into the other side...

Mine was clogged w/ bees (breather) and my PCV was bad..

I also swapped my fuel pump but almost all of that is taken care of now.

I had the same issue, now its good (it was usually when i was slowing down tho almost like it was rocking the truck back and forth)

Yes, I still get the issue and it has to be fuel delivery, So a new fuel pump and strainer is next on the list. but may be a bit before I can buy the parts.

****ing truck needs EVERYTHING.

have you replaced the fuel filter yet? its one of those preventative maintenance things that should get done. i replaced mine when it was fine and it turned out to run even better.
