Exclamation So confused. Lighting issue.

OKi..... Hoping someone has something.
So... I turn on my parking lights, and i get nothing, move it just hair, and they turn on, pull the rest of the way, and the parking lights go out Dashboard lights as well. Headlights come on. This started by the Harness Shorting out. Which i guess is a common problem?
What i have done ....
#1 Harness for Light Switch, Burned out, melted, and shorted out old Light switch.
#2 Replaced Light switched, and Hard wired Directly to it the new switch.
#3 Tried Three other switches in the auto zone parking lot, two different models.
Still got the same problem.... Any one got anything?

Am i missing something.. Everything else works fine.Just parking light dont come on properly.

Sounds like you got more bad wires. I wish I could help more but nothing that can be done over the Internet. If needed we have wiring diagrams in the FAQ in this section. Trace out each one and get a Ohm meter and test out each on.
