Default People with true duals...

I was wondering if there was anyone here with true duals from the stock pipe. My friends 93 and my 95 both have SI/DO, but I was wondering if anyone had true duals from the stock pipe, no headers or nothing?

The guys who did my exhaust said they couldnt do true duals cause they couldnt get in anywhere to get to the pipe coming from the drivers side of the engine but I think its possible so I was wondering. I'd prefer some pics so I could see how you have it done?

If it's four wheel drive, it's not possible...the transfer case is in the way...I wanted to do this to mine, but was unable to as the pipe would have to have hung down below the frame rails, and I didn't want it to hook on anything. The SI/DO is a tight enough fit as you have to shift the position of the spare tire slightly to make it work. If you look at the Y pipe coming off the manifolds you can see just how tight of a fit it actually is.

True, true. I knew it would be a tight fit but it still looked like it could work. Yeah, its a 4x4.

i'm sure if you had a body lift there would be more clearance for a true dual exhaust to run above the transfer case.

Sounds true enough to me, Shadow.

Has anyone at least replaced the stock y pipe there with an aftermarket one or x-pipe or is that impossible too?

Lol, give me a few weeks and I'll have my y-pipe replaced with a custom built one! With my custom 3 link front suspension, I'm going to have to get a custom bent y-pipe to clear the upper link and transmission crossmemeber. Its going to be a very, very tight fit!

lol, 95_318SLT. And are you doin' a custom one cause of all the other stuff too or just for the heck of it? Cause really my question is...is it possible to at least get an aftermarket y-pipe in place of the old one without having to get a lift or anything? Well..more or less, has anyone here done it? Cause otherwise I'll just ask my muffler guy the next time I'm in town if he thinks he could fit one in there.
