back glass
so i have horrible luck with glass it seems and i shattered a panel in my back glass so i went to day to a junkyard and picked me up a solid rear window and gasket for 50 bucks. now my question is how the hell do i put it in i youtubed for some **** and nothin. help please?
Its kind of hard to explain, but I've only taken mine out once. Maybe someone with more experience can give a detailed explanation.
But the only thing holding the rear window in place is the rubber trim. So basically, you need to start at a corner and pull back the trim and continue pulling back the trim while forcing the window out.
There is a semi-detailed write up about how to R&I the rear glass in the factory service manual.
Putting the glass back in is trickier than taking it out! Also, when you put it back in, be sure to use a non-curing window urethane around the rubber trim between the rubber and the cab to ensure it seals properly.

someone told me i can insert a cotton rope into the groove 3/4 of the way around the gasket soaked with oil or wd40 and they said as you push the window in to pump urethane in there and pull the cotton rope out slowly and voila but idk never tried. just trying to save some cash for my integra
wish is right i think you get something like 1/4-3/8 rope insert in to the grove ive seen window guys do it with a silcone tip thea comes with a tube of silcone to get the rope in to save time. then from the inside you puit on the bottom or as much as you can and pull the rope from out side to get the seal in place i hope this will help
