Default 2 questions

1. i got some hood pins that i need to install thats easy but what is a good spot for them

2.i can hear a valve on my driver side clicking when i give it some gas but it wont when i am idlingit started doing this when i was late for work and floored it for about 8 miles(i found my top speed was about 104 with the camper shell and moon visor) i was surprised it wasnt governing out at all let alone at 98 like my 97 ford f150 5 speed did

Nope, you're only allowed one question at a time.... :P JK.

1) Anywhere along the radiator support is the best spot. Preferrably close to the hood's rubber stops.

2) Pull the valve covers off a torque down the rockers. May or may not work, but worth a try. Check the FSM for the proper procedure and torque specs.

What weight motor oil do you run?

I have hood pins in my truck and it's the only thing that keeps my hood shut, they aren't had to install but you just have to find the spot along the radiator support to install them. Go to far on the support they wont come threw. If you would like I'll post how far from each fender to drill and install them so you don't have to redrill

and i run gtx high mileage its a synthetic blend should i go full synthetic or stay with the gtx

He's asking what weight, ie. 10w30? 5w30?

Hey I took a eyeball guestament on the pins it looks like I put them about 3" into the hood from the fender.

You should probably change that to 10w-30. Thats what these engines were built to run with. The thinner oil should get up to the valves better.
