Unhappy My Dodge Don't Work!

Hey All,

My Dodge seems to be broken, I finally got my ASD computer work sorted and it no longer dies when your driving.

Now though it has developed a new problem, it has difficulty idleing and running. Some times it goes fine then all of sudden it will no longer idle, stammers as you accelerate and once stopped will not start again, just turns over and over!!!! When it does try to idle you can hear it almost die and then it tries to catch itself by revving up again. When it does not start it smells to me like it is very rich ANY IDEAS???? IT IS DRIVING ME MAD!!!!!!

I have put in a new air cleaner and a have a new fuel filter to go in, Also I noticed the cable beside the throttle cable is disconnected because it holds the throt body to far open and revs the bejebbers out of the engine when it is connected, what is the second cable for? Is it the auto choke???

The Idle problem may be the IAC Idle Air Control. Replace it.
The stalling may be the notorious splice. There is a power splice that corrodes and cuts off power to the computer and ASD and Fuel pump relay. Check the FAQ in this section for picture of exact location.

Edit: As for the cable. It depends exactly which one you are talking about. But there is NO choke on any FI.
The cables are Throttle, Cruise control, TV cable to the transmission. Follow the cable to see where it goes!!

If it is the TV cable that can cause your transmission not to shift properly.

Do you even hear your transmission whining thru the gears? Cause if the torque converter is screwed and locked up. It could cause some of the same symptoms.

From the sounds of it, he can barely keep it running, let alone put it in gear and drive it. The cable is likely the crise control if its revving the crap outta the engine and I agree with crazy about the splice causing the stalling. Also could be your o2 sensor. Try disconnecting your battery for a minute or so the reconnect it, start the truck and see how it runs. If it runs smooth, either the o2 sensor, throttle position sensor, MAP sensor, or IAC motor is bad. Kinda vague, but gives you some kind of direction to run in

im not sure if you were talking to me but here's my problem. the number 9 fuse keeps blowing when i turn on the ignition. i cant even start it. the last time i drove it ,. it ran perfect. the next day. it started and when i put it in reverse it died. and hasn't started sense. every time i try it blows the fuse. i found a burnt wire coming off that fuse and repaired it. it still blows the fuse. i took out the fuel pump relay and it still blows it. so now i dont know what else to check because with the relay out it shoulen't give power to the fuel pump,. auto shut down or the transmission relay. as far as i know anyway. can ya help me?
