Default Still looking for new carpet

I thought I was close, and I was, but the manufacturer claims the only carpets they make are for the 2WD extended cab Dakota, and that from 1992-1996 years it won't work with a 4WD Dakota. Anyone know the difference? I can't figure it out, unless the floors were different by the transfer case shifter.

I think the only difference is the hole cut out in the floor for the shifter! I can't think of any other difference there would be. Just cut your own hole... its not hard! I had to cut my carpet for the 5 speed swap.

The 4wd had a hole for the shifter. Just buy the 2wd one and mark it and cut it.

I've heard bad stuff about carpets from StockInteriors.com, such as poor fit, etc. WLS makes their own. I haven't actually bought anything from either source though.

I got shipped a carpet which was for a 2WD, and even though they said it would fit it didn't, they had it listed incorrectly on their website. The transmission hump is a different size, so you will need to get the correct carpet for your truck.

So where did you end up getting a replacement carpet? Mine was trashed so it's definitely gone. I am wondering if the 4WD standard cab flooring will fit back to the the rear of the seat and I can just cover what is left with something else? Anyone have any input on this?
