Exclamation 93 Dakota Trans. return line issue

My 1993 Dakota's return line coming from the radiator was leaking a little so I replaced the rubber part of the line after trying to tighten up the clamps didn't help. Well now the front lines are good but the back one going into the trans case is leaking. Is this a sign that the filter is clogged causing the line not to be able to return the fluid? Not sure of the transmissions type at this time but it's bolted up to a 5.2L. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure all it is is showing its age. When vechicle get to 17yrs old and 141,000 miles things leak. And for some reason, once you fix one leak another one starts. Just keep fixing the leaks.

Although if the transmission has never been serviced it is a good idea to change out fluid and filter.

It's actually a rebuilt one but I know nothing about it other than the guy who installed it, owned the truck at the time it AND is a mechanic. Which gives me hope that it's a good one. I'm also unsure as to how long ago it was done as I bought it from his sister here in NC, he lives in MO.

Lil off topic, but I thought gen 1 Daks were only regular or club cab? What exactly is the king cab? Or do you mean Club Cab (AKA extended cab)?

I would just buy and run an external cooler and run new hoses. I've been running this and has never given me any problems in the AZ heat.

Yes the true name is Club Cab for our trucks. But not everyone knows it as that. Club Cab, King Cab, Extended Cab, Crew Cab. Lots of names. All different per manufacture and size.

Checked and tightened all the connections and all seems well for now but will keep and eye on it. As far as the King Cab goes, chalk it up to some disinformation I got online while researching the truck before I test drove it. Guess KingCabber in my handle will just have to stay that way till I think of something else.
