dash lights went out

Default dash lights went out
my dash lights went out the other night. i checked all the fuses and the switch and everything works. also checked the wires but didn't find anything.

anyone knows what would cause this?

i also found a black wire behind my instrument cluster that was never hooked up.

Check to see if you have power at the fuse. Next would be to check the power and ground wire at the dash wiring harness.
