Default What years?

What year and engines had the problem with the plenum gaskets leaking?

I have a slow oil consumption problem. But the plugs look good. And I don't wanna go ripping the intake off unless I know the 93 318 was affected. If its not affected then I have to look else where for the problem. Thanks.

Isn't that just terrific. Okay, on to vacuum tests. Thanks.

I just found the vacuum hose at the intake was split connecting the PCV and replaced the hose. And noticed some oil residue around the intake fitting on the manifold. So, is there something I could do to knock down the oil vapor from going into the intake? I looked down the intake and its DIRTY as hell like an old carburetor set-up. Anyone ever try Sea-foaming their engine and what do you think about doing that to a semi-high mileage engine?

Seafoam in the intake is a BAD idea, from personal experience. I have seen it cause blown head gaskets, **** up piston rings, etc.

i ran seafoam in my truck with no problems. if you want to get the intake clean just pour a little in the brake booster vacuum line(from what i heard). it says on the can to pour some in the oil, fuel and the vacuum line that feeds all the cylinders(which i believe and heard is the brake booster line). its the best way to clean the engine out next to ripping the motor apart.

Ran the truck to the store earlier and truck is running a lot better with the vacuum line fixed. Now I have to fix the battery connector AGAIN. PITA keeps giving me problems.
