Post Lower radiator hose spring?

I bought a new lower rad. hose today at O'rilley and it didnt come with a spring, just the hose. The guy said it shouldnt need one but I thought thats what kept it from collapsing? any suggestions?

Just re-use the ones on your truck now. You are talking about the spring-clamps, right?

Nope, he's talking about the spring inside the hose. If the new hose doesn't have a spring, it's gonna collapse flat. I think you need to replace that rad, bro. Can you find one relatively cheap at a boneyard? I've used www.car-parts.com for years to source used parts. good luck.

Not all of them have the springs, the upper and lower hoses I got from Napa don't have springs and work just fine.

Hmm, never heard of springs inside of hoses. I recently replaced all the hoses on my truck and none of them, new or old, had springs in them.

I have had springed hoses, I find they are normally found where there are a lot of bends

I bought one from advanced auto a while back. It is the one with the plastic top but it wasnt nearly that high. Im thinking it was around 150 or 160 bucks. If money is the problem you may have to go with the plastic top and bottom one.
