I just changed mine and after soaking them in PB blaster a few times they turned out with ease which surprised me because it is a 90 model and had the original shocks on it. The ride is so much better now.

its easy to do the front. just cut the top bolt off on the front shocks then soak the bottom bolts in penetrating oil and take(if needed) an impact wrench to the bottom bolts(it might help). the back are easier to do without a jack.

got it done today lol. long time coming but finally got around to it. one came out w/ the impact and the others we drilled out, drilled the threads off the inside of the bolts and put a longer bolt in it witha nut on top of the welded one, so in the future if it needs be, it breaks, it will still come out. but i used about every method on here today lol. also put some 30's on the back and i have 225's or 235's up front. but its like a whole new truck. also had to do wheel cylinders on the back and rerun all the line.

now the only thing about the front tires is that before I replaced my shocks (had no shocks) , I had 225's up in front with no rubbing. I put my 225's from the back up front after shock change and they rub the top of the fender. This confuses me, only thing I can think of is their tread is about a 1/2 inch taller. After I replaced the shocks and before I swapped tires, there was no rubbing. How would I fix this? BFH "nicely" to the fender in the spot its rubbing?

I bought these http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...0077&ppt=C0035

it looks like your brush guard isn't attached to your truck.
i had those same tires on my truckas what you have on the front. i slide into a curb and on blew out and the place i bought them from wouldn't honor the waranty.

and 225's shouldn't rub. i have them on my truck and they don't rub at all, even at full wheel turn.

your first pic looks like you hit a bump at 40mph. the inside of my left fender looks just like it from hitting the same bump at 40.lol

btw, off topic but, does the state require emissions on pre-'96 vehicles?

it usually only feels like its rubbing when I drop down a curb or a hard bump in the road. The first thing i did was go over a speed bump at a little over normal speed lol. truck hasnt seen shocks in 3 years, had to give it the feeling. All I know is these trucks have very heavy front ends lol.

and about the emissions, I have no clue. They dont check or anything. good old nebraska. lol

tires have good traction though
