1995 Dakota V6 towing capacity
Hey guys,
does anyone know what the towing capacity from the factory was for 3.9 auto club cab 2WD? I already have air shocks, additional leaf springs, trans fluid is only 3,000 miles, it has a class IV hitch with trailer brake controller. Only thing I'm missing, that I plan on doing, is installing an external trans cooler. I'm helping a family member move from Athens, GA to Orlando in the next two weeks. Just don't want to blow my truck up while trying to move. Thanks again guys.

According to the '95 FSM... 4500 lbs with 3.55s and 5600 lbs with 3.90s.
Seriously though, I know what the temperatures are like this time of year in the Southeast... I would not make that trip without an aftermarket transmission cooler.
