Pull the old engine/transmission out and put the new engine/transmission in, then wire it up!?

I don't know... what kind of advice are you looking for? Do you have the engine, transmission, computer, wiring harness and radiator fan shroud already?

 

physical placement isnt my issue,thats the easy part....wiring all of it up is the problem ... i have engine and harness and computer out of a 97 2500 4x4....

 

Yeah, physical placement isn't an issue at all. The 5.9 uses the same mounts as the 3.9, so its a bolt up and go on that part.

Wiring should be plug and play! The harnesses are typically split into body, frame, and engine. Just locate where the 3.9's harness unplugs from the rest of the wiring and plug the 5.9's harness into that spot. I don't know much about the obdii wiring harness configuration, but thats how obdi is set up. I can unplug just my engine's harness.

 

It sucks I have a pre-91. I been thinking about doing this alot lately.

 

i was kinda hopin for something like that....i did the 3.9 to 5.2 swap on my dads 95 ram1500...so ive already been there kinda!lololol
