Was lookin at a guard that a family menmber has, but the guard was made for a ram 1500, just wanted to see if i was going to have to make a few fabs on it to fit it, or does anyone know if it will fit the way it is, and i cant go and see for myself because there house is a bit away

Have never sized that combination up before, but just guessing that it will be too wide. But anything can be custom fitted/chopped and shortened. Most grill guards have features that mimmick the designed body lines. The ram (unless its pre 94) lines are much different than the 1 gen dakotas. for example, the headlights might not line up in the headlight cutouts in the gaurd.

this one would only cover up the mid section of the front end, its not big enough to reach the head lights on a ram or a dakota, if you look at the one Crazy has it is almost similar to that

Ya get it and test fit it see if it needs shortening. I got mine from a mid 70's Ford. It covered the headlights and all. I thought the side pieces were ugly so I just cut it to fit my bumper mounts and left the sides off.

I call mine a Push bar. But there are tons of names for them. It is kinda hard to see the mounting bolts. But they are under the rubber strip. It is the same location as the factory bumper bracket bolts. Here are few pics from my gallery.

On mine the only parts that are welded are the cross bars to the center posts, on the back sides.

I just grounded off the welds on one side the bolted it up to line it up then tacked it in. Took it it out and fully welded it in and cut off the sides.
