Default Video of my Dakota's issue

I posted a thread before but figured this might be better if people can actually see/hear what the truck is doing.

Starts fine but will die without giving it gas. It then shakes and backfires and if you feather it several minutes it will start running okay. Power will also cut out while driving. Used to just jerk a little at 2K rpms, but now it will really cut out.

Changed the plugs, cleaned the EGR and the IAC. I've seen several threads with people experiencing similar problems.

For a real ungoing problem with this type of situation click the link below:

It just dies part 2

I've tried everything that I know of, things that people here have suggested, and to no avail I still have the problems.

Did you try the crank sensor? There was a thread about someone else having the same problem and he tried replacing nearly everything. He said it ended up being the crank sensor.

I'm looking at buying another dakota for <$500 and just try swapping part by part and hope I figure it out.

I was having a similar issue when my fuel pump was going out.
