That is correct! The 57 with the built up 383 was a real hand full. And parts for upgrading the 57 chassis are non existant. The Dakota Engine was screwed, the front of the cab, front fenders were all rotten.

Using the Dakota chassis I can updrade brakes, suspension etc. and make a really great and reliable Daily driver. and a 318 with a couple bolt ons will make a nice and yet still affordable power plant. lets face gas prices arn't going down.

The 383/727. I'm saving for my next project.
