Default Left motor mount for 96 Dakota 2.5

I seem to be in a bit of a pickle here. Okay, so i need a left motor mount for my 96 dakota 2.5 (just the little 4 cyl) however I have a problem. My truck is a mid year truck so all the body hardware is for a 96 yet all my engine components are for a 97. And that was the year they changed a lot of the body and engine style. Its a real pita. I broke the motor mount and can not find one anywhere. The dealership says they discontinued the part and all the after market shops have only the insert for the mount, the wrong mount or no mount at all. Ive been online looking at it seems like a million different sites for 96s and 97s and I can not find one that matches my mount. At this point Im ready to put a diff mount in that would work from a diff vehichle. Idk what eles to do. Any help or suggestions would be very much apreciated.

It is listed at www.autozone.com and www.napaonline.com and probably any auto parts stores.

Or try these OEM sites. OEM part number is
52058442.

Thank you crazy. I had become very familiar with part number 5205 8442 before I posted this plea. I have found out that part is for a 2.5 OHC engine where I have a 2.5 OHV engine. I cant find a parts shop that even recognizes that the 96 dodge dakota comes with two different 2.5 motors. They all tell me the same thing "5205 8442". I couldnt find a shop that would weld my old mount braket due to liability issues. I dont know how to weld, have any of the equiptment to do so, nor have any friends that know how so I did my best fabricating a few small steel plates to bolt one piece to the other. Neither here nor there, but lets just say its a temparary fix. I would still like to find the bracket I'm looking for. I uploaded two pics, one of 5205 8442 and the circular looking one is the one I need. I REALLY do apreciate all the help you've given so far, and any that you give in the future.

That sucks.

But this is a copy from the parts manual. This page is for the 96 only.

Here is the older ones with part numbers.

Well they only used the 2.5 from in a 1996 for one year, before that it was a OHC, what you will need to do is find a motor mount for a 1997 Jeep Wranger. The motor you have in your truck was produced from 1996 to 2002. There are a lot of parts in the motor that will fit and there are some that won't. Just to name a few, Starter, Distributor, Alternator, Pulley's, Head, it's a pain in the but to figure this out. I have the same motor in my truck and I had to learn this the hard way. What you have in your truck and mine is a motor from Jeep Cherokee's and Jeep Wranglers from 1997-2002, it was put into the Dakotas as a test by Chrysler. I hope this helps you in your search for parts in the future.

Chirs, I will look into what you have just told me. But if you are right you have saved me. I have taken my VIN to shops and they all say "made in america, you have the P in the VIN so you need "505 8442" I really hope your right.

I have to give thanks to Crazy all the same. He has been a driving force for me. I appreciate it more than you know. Do you see that 1 is pointing to what I need but 1 has NO PART #!!! UGH!!! Whats a fella to do???

Yes it does have a part number. Look under #1, and above the #2 part.

5205 8446 right

5205 8442 left

You Do need 5205 8442, it is the correct part as you can see.

If you didn't notice I underlined the part number. I posted the old 2.5 so you can see the part number is different.
