Chris that sounds really interesting, but as others say They just look and as far as I know listen to it which mine rattles good. I just wanna say I just wanted to see how it would fit up and i slide the cat into the tailpipe and it went in and was kinda loose, is this gunna be a problem? I got a 2 1/2 in pipe like my truck is but it doesn't fit? Also i'd have to agree, not worth the risk taking the cat off. My truck will still sound nice with it on, but the rattle kills it so might as well replace it!

just get a 2-1/2in exhaust clamp and clamp the ends. its how my exhaust is being held together. my truck has some exhaust leaks but you don't really hear them till its WOT time, at idle its silent.

Just finished up a few minutes ago. I used the clamps and only had a few minor issues. I gotta say, well worth crawling around to get it together! This thing sounds nice haha

issakar, we're from the same state lol and I dont have a cat and anyone I know doesnt and even nice trucks I see and check out the exhaust systems dont have a cat. Its just plain better without one lol. And since were not California, the states not really **** about checkin the stuff, so I wouldnt worry and would just cut it out.

From what I have heard, MI is the most lenient of all states when it comes to safety/emissions standards.

I thought it was all said and done, but today the check engine light came on and there is also like a burning rubber kind of smell. I have no idea if this is related, but I figured since it was the last thing I did it probably was. Any thoughts?
