NV3500 to NV4500
My 2WD Dodge Diesel NV4500 has the sensor in the left upper rear on the tail housing.
The gear has an O-ring and is held in by a bracket and single bolt.
The Sensor also has an O-ring and is also held in by a different single bolt.
As far as I know this unit is only for the Speedometer.
The AfterMarket SunPro Speedometer is supposed to use a 12 volt signal, but so far I have not gotten them to work together.
I learned that the Black wire on both is ground and I have run a separate wire all the way to the battery ground at the frame and to both.
I then tried both the Red and White sender wires with the Green (according to SunPro Symatic) and the other to switched 12 volt source to no avail.

Anyway, thats all I have. Like I said before, this isn't a how to thread, its just a picture gallery of the swap to show how the nv4500 fits under one of our trucks.
As you should be able to tell from some of the above pictures, a 2 inch body lift is definately required to fit the transmission. The only way I can think to fit it without a body lift is to cut a huge hole in the floor pan and let the top plate of the transmission stick up through that hole.
I reopened this thread for questions and comments. Let me know if any of ya'll want to see pictures other than what I posted and I'll try to get them up.

You thought about asking in the RAM subforum, instead of the Dakota one?
THEY may know, since someone there is probably driving the same truck.
