i have a 94 dakota slt 4x4 that likes to pop out of four low and somtimes four high and i am wondering if there is an adjustment for this or do i need an overhaul on my transfercase.
i haven't had time to check for myself yet.

 

well, the first thing i would do is chech your t-case fluid level,usualy if the level is low it will pop out of 4x4 or if you put the wrong fluid in it will do that, i think these dakotas np231 use Automatic tranny fluid, 2nd i would check you linkages

 

Hey you were right on the money .
the fluid was a bit low so i decided to change it instead of just toping it up and she don't pop out of four wheel drive no more.
