Default Mopar Performance High Performance PCM

Recently installed the Mopar Performance High Performance PCM and WOW. Running on regular gas alone is simply amazing. From a stand still on a level road the dakota did a burn out more than twice as long as my long bed Ram!

Cool! They are worth it! The more performance parts you got the more the computer will tune to give more HP.

Yeah they rock, but you should NOT be running regular gas in there, mine pinged like crazy at like only half throttle.

I had my mopar performance computer for several days before I installed it... I waited until I had to fill up and then put in 93 octane and swapped computers then. Like said above, regular gas will make the engine ping because of the timing changes.

No worries. I am getting a tank full of premium tonight.

What other performance parts were you referring to? I have a high flow air coming in and low restriction exhaust. Speaking of, I cant say for definite sure, but I am 95% positive that the magna flow cat that I put on my '98 ram 318 would fit the dakota.

Also, been noticing the smell of burnt oil in the exhaust and lots of evidence of oil in the intake NOT on the PCV side. Since this is basically the same magnum 318 that is in my '98 ram then I am willing to bet that the plenum gasket is blown on the belly of the intake manifold. I figured I would spend the 120 on another Hughes Engines magnum plenum fixes to correct it.

I am referring to ANY performance parts. From better flowing intakes systems to exhausts to internal engine parts ect. Tons of options. The FAQ2 we got a good list.

Ya it does sound like you got the plenum gasket leak.
