IIRC the fuel pump relay is only energized for around 5 seconds when the key is turned to on and will shut off unless the truck is started.

Interesting - make sure to recheck on that infamous splice - it powers both the fuel pump and the ign coil. Should be 3 red wires from the PDC, and one wire from the wiring harness. One wire provides the power (coming from the PDC), and it's distributed to the three others.

just to let you know my dakota does not have a crankshaft sensor (92+ , my book tells me and I cant find it) and no relay/fuse box. Just fuseable links

I still have it unwrapped , checking anything I think might be wrong.

My wires are green with a black tracer and all of them are grounded no matter what I do..................

guess what just started!!!!!!!!
I had to do a bypass from the asd relay. cut the wire and ran a wire from the battery to the other 4 wires and started first shot. but the fuel pump stays on
I know the relay is good I took it out and tested. I even put 5 other relays in and got the same.

So now I have to a short from the asd.

now I think its a cpu problem
