did you find the ground path from PCM to batt negative?
Can you verify the harness wires can carry a load by using a test light?

Thinkin through the no spark issue;
if you pull the PCM connector and supply ground to the coil from the connector, causing the coil to fire, that should establish the harness can carry the load.
The PCM requires crank position and cam position signals for it to fire the coil. If those are present then the PCM itself would likely be faulty.

the ground signal goes dead at pcm connector with the coil plugged in verified this by probing k19 in the back while connected to pcm it returns if i unplug coil. this also happens if i have a test light plugged in. 12v is present on the other terminal. i have 2 coils im trying this with. one new and the old one i exchanged the new one just to be sure i didnt get a lemon.

sorry, terminology challenged here.

by dead, you mean no continuity between the negative terminal at the coil connector and the PCM terminal?

no i mean signal just goes dead from pcm with something other than a multimeter hooked to it wether i probe the coil connector or the pcm connector. the circuit between the pcm and coil connector test fine with no resistance
