Default V10 anyone

I searched but didnt find much? My 5.2 is getting old and i was looking for a new twist when my father in laws friend said he had a v10 ram that got rear ended and totaled, good engine, trans, tcase. I havent gotten over to measure it yet but does anyone know if it will fit with some work?

That or diesel would be pretty sweet. Don't know how much work but im guessing a lot. If it where me... I would go ahead and give it a whirl if i had time and $$

Tons of work. If you got the time and money. It would be worth it in the end. The Ram V10 is externally as the Viper V10. Here are a few 2nd Generation Dakotas with the Viper V10.

that would be a bad *** dakota but time and money is about the only thing its gonna be expensive but if u did it it would be a beast on the track

For the price i can get it and the parts for salvage it should pay for itself. I know the wiring is gonna be a pain but thats fine with me, I found the specs, the V10 is only 4 inches longer then the 360 so ill have to tap the firewall back an inch and run a pusher fan but other then that it should fit nice and snug. Gauges will be aftermarket, (joy). new mounts for trans and transfer case. I like it.

Diesel (Cummins 4BT) swap has already been done a few times. I doubt there has ever been a Viper powered 1g Dakota though.
