Cool Tire help

I'm new to the forum, and have been searching around but I'm still very confused about tires sizes. I have a pretty much stock 1993 dodge dakota 4x4 v6. I need new tires to pass inspection, so I figured I'd throw some bigger tires on there for now, if I can, until i can lift it or something.

My question is:
What tire size in " 235/75/15 " form can I put on?
I dont know what size tires are on there right now, but I'd like to put on 30s or 31s depending on what I can fit at stock height on my 15in stock wheels. I've seen some people say that you can fit 31s, others say you can't.

Thanks for the help!

iirc you can put 30s on with out any lift but I'm not a 100% sure but on my 93 dakota I had 235/75/15 and they fit great

Here is a copy and paste from the FAQ2 in this section.
What can I fit on my 4x4?
Stock...29 -30 inches
1-2 inches... 31s
2-4 inches... 33s
4-5 inches... 35s
Check http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techart...ide/index.html

As for what size in metric it depends on how wide and tall you want. Use a calculator like this one. http://www.4lo.com/calc/geartire.htm

Alright thanks. I'll probably go with 235/75/15 then. Thanks

im betting you could do 30's or ever 31's

on my 91 2wd i have 30's out back with plenty of room and 235's up front (rubbed till i put coil spacer block things in there)
