Default Taillight problems

I do need some help with another problem. My headlights wont turn on so i replaced the switch and yea! problem solved. All my lights work blinkers brake lights, headlights. but my taillights do not work anymore. Any ideas on what might be causing it? I checked the fuse and all is good. then i thought maybe switch? so i exchanged it and same thing. all lights work but the taillights

So youre saying the rear brakes and blinkers work but the tail lights dont? Check the wire bundle behind the driver side rear tire. There should be a black (might be brown) wire with a yellow stripe that splices into 3 wires. Thats the right tail light, not sure about the left but you can just trace that one from the other light. I've had problems there cause of the previous owners rigged up trailer plug job. Dont know if that helps but maybe it corroded like mine or the ASD relay splice so just a thought.

It seems all over. Most of the plastic covering was brittle and broken up exposing the bare wires.
