Good point to add in Den. certainly not something to rule out. Getting under the truck and inspecting that lower radiator hose up to the engine would probably be my first inspection of it were me. Make sure the hose doesn't feel rotted or loose or anything.

Yeah. Make sure the torque on your water pump bolts are good. Since it's coming from such a large area, makes it seem like it's coming from a large component (water pump, reservoir or radiator). Since it's only coming on when the system's under pressure (not a constant leak), I'd say water pump.

The fact that it was spraying up onto the windshield makes it sound like the fan was blowing it back.

Where is the water pump located? Would I have to put it up on a lift to fix it?

couldn't find what? the pump? look at the diagram. Its behind the fan, and it has a pulley mounted on it with it looks like 4 bolts. You have to remove the fan and a bunch of other stuff to get to it. hang tight and ill try and get you the stuff on how to do it. brb

honestly man, it doesn't look like its TOO difficult to do. I'll try and get the procedures up for you. basically you take the fan assembly off, leave it all together (the fan and the viscous drive) remove tension on the belt to take it off, remove the pulley and remove the pump. obviously you have to remove hoses and drain the system and such (per the FSM) but it doesn't look super involved. Anyone else ever performed the job and wanna chip in on how it is to do?
