how to lift my 89 dakota 4x4

Default how to lift my 89 dakota 4x4

i was wondering how can i lift my dakota more than 2 in without usein the 2 in body lift ive already tightin the toutsen bars and put 2 in blocks under the back lead srings thanks

The factory IFS on these trucks is very limited as far as lifting goes. You can only take the control arms as high as the bump stops allow. If you already have the torsion bars turned all the way up but they arent against the bump stops, you can get aftermarket lift keys and turn the bars up higher. The only other two things you can do are get the trailmaster lift kit (or build your own) or do a solid front axle swap.

Ya what he said. We have all the info and links to the lift keys in the FAQ in this section.

Also why do you don't want to do a body lift? It is cheep and easy and very safe and reliable.

yeah i like the body lift i was just wanting to get as much lift out of it before i do the body lift lol
