Default 95 Radio

Hey Guys, The radio in my 95 Sport quit on me. It was the factory radio with cassette. I would like to replace it with a factory CD player but I'm having a hard time finding one without paying an arm and a leg from a dealer. The speakers are OEM and I have no desire to upgrade them. I just want to be able to listen to some tunes. I don't have a lot of experience with audio work so I'm not sure what other models had a similar setup I can just plug in. I'm mainly interested in finding a factory replacement but am open to an aftermarket setup if it's easy to do and will work okay. What do you guys think I would be better off doing.
Thanks, Travis

almost any after market head unit will sound much better then the orginal factory radio, they are not very hard to install. About how much are you willing to spend?

Why do you want a factory CD? Go to http://www.crutchfield.com and on the right hand side click on 'What fits my car'. It will list everything from a regular casette player to a DVD player with navigation system built in. I havn't ever bought off this site, but it is a great reference as it list most makes. I have a high end Panasonic receiver in my truck because it has pretty good power, I can change the colour of the display to match my truck and great outputs for lots of conectivity. With your receiver you will have to buy a wire harness and a universal instalation kit (keep these in mind when you are looking at prices). Good luck!

I got a tape deck out of a 97 Neon and the connections were identical. Good luck, I too have had a hard time finding factory CD players to use. I have a MP3 deck now, and it is easy enough to install. Wires are all color coded so matching them up isn't hard. I know Pioneer makes a deck that fits right inside the extra tall cavity in our trucks.
