Default Hello all...

Did we come up with a solution for this problem? I've been having the same exact problem with my car since the weather has gotten cold. Thanks in advance!

My starter won't turn over my engine after the car has been sitting for a while. I have to smack it with a hammer at least once a day to get the car started. Cannot afford to replace the starter and continue to have this problem. I need to know exactly what is causing this starting issue. I was hoping to hear something back from the person who started this thread to see if he had any luck with finding a solution. Help plz!

Sounds to me like you have a bad starter? The common cause for a starter not turning over with out being smacked is loose broken wires or coil.
