Yes it can be done. I believe it will bolt into your motor mounts. It will take time, but at the end it will be worth it. We have the service manual and wiring diagrams in the FAQ, to help with your swap. Post up pics when you get it done.

And I was looking to gather information from somebody who has done thi exact swap before to give me any and all information they can share this will be my first swap I have ever done and with this truck being my daily driver I am looking to have all my homework done ahead of time to make this project go as fast and as smooth as possiblem. The mag has 110000 miles on it any major things I should do to the motor before I put it in the truck?

If I hadn't allready had a v8, I would of done this swap. Yes, the mag will bolt in. Hopefully, you have the donor vehicle, or access to it (or a similar model). The wiring loom is straight forward. Not sure about your bulkhead connector, but I am confident there are not alot of changes. Are you taking the transmission too? If you do, then you do not have to worry about alignment issues.

On a side note.... what exactly are you referring to when you ask about "What to do"? Performance, maintenance or appearance?
