Default rear ujoint bolt torque

does anyone know the torque to use for the 4 little bolts that hold the "caps" that hold the rear universal joint to the differential? i called a dodge dealer and his comment was we just put them on as tight as we can with our air gun. this seems a little much for a bolt that is smaller than 1/4 inch.
thanks for any help
facts: 93 dakota, long bed, 6 cyl engine, 2 wheel dive, not dulies. over 300,000 and i would like to get to 400 +.
