Default Heater core replacement

does anyone know if in our trucks you can remove the low pressure switch without losing freeon because i know you can do the on some cars but i was wondering if we can do this on our trucks thanks guys

I wish I knew. The best source is the Factory Service Manual, you can download it from the FAQ. Let us know what you find.

Yes you can. When you remove it you'll hear a 'pop', but that's just the o-ring un-seating on the switch.

+1.When I did the work on my 1992 I removed the switch without loss of coolant. Also +1 to the factory FSM. I found one on Ebay for $25 with shipping and it has been a godsend!
