I will move this to the 1st Generation Dakota sub-forum. In that section there is a FAQ2 which will be a few posts above this one. It has all the info you need.

There was also a good article on how to measure what will fit under any truck in the Feb. issue of petersons 4 wheel and offroad which I will scan and post if the mods say it's okay.

Go ahead and scan it if you want. Their web site will have it posted soon though. The FAQ2 will be your quickest way to find it.

I've seen 31x10.50R15's on these trucks with either the body lift or cranked torsion bars. Anything bigger I think will need suspension work.

I utilized the FAQ and got 31x10.5x15. Stuck them on 15x8 2nd gen rims. Looks nice under my truck. I only cranked the front bars two turns each. Between that and the monroe coil over shocks in back my truck has a nice level stance and the tires fill the gaps nicely.

jnjinfla, did you have to do any modifications to get the wheels to fit? I put those on my '92 and had to grind down the brake line bolts on the front calipers because they interfered. I also had the inside of the rim machined out just enough to give the clearance. I now have the 16x8's on my '93 with 245/75-R16's on and they fit real nice.

I did slightly grind down brake line bolt to get it to fit. I didn't have to machine the rim. There is still plenty of bolt head to grab onto. Great find on the guard!
