Some starting fluids (ether) are for diesels only. The starting fluid for gasoline has a lower melting point than gasoline, but using ether on gasoline risks the valves. Never had issues personally, but that is what I heard. Also, the "soot" left from the fluid has to burn off after using. Some fluids have a wax to increase surface area, which again, ha to burn off. Just my .02. Glad it is running though.

Over use of the spray is probably not good. Just 1 time or so wont hurt. You defiantly have a fuel problem. Bad relay or wires, bad pump, clogged filter, bad regulator. Check you fuel pressure.

I agree with crazy. One thing I wanted to mention is, when ever welding on a vehicle, make sure you or they remove at least one cable from the battery. I normally remove both positive and negative. Mainly the negative I believe should be disconnected or you can fry the computer. See in done (fried the computer) many times at a job I worked at.

Thanks for the input guys. My usage was to spray the vapor on the filter. Not dousing the throttle body. Ill let you all know if fixing the wiring, but it makes sense, cold weather, wire shrink a little and pull from battery connector. Another thing that waspositive is last night after the repair itstartedimmediately and went to fast idle, which it has not done since the temp dropped. Its 22 outside we will all know shortly.

UPDATE: All has been fine since fixing terminals. I also figured loosing prime could be air leak problem on fuel system. Found some joker has changed the pomp and left part of the old gasket under the edge of the new one. Figuring this might be the cause I now turn key on wait to hear relay click under hood. I do this two-three times since finding the doofas gasket thing. It starts and runs great now. ( Doofas also left skid plate for gas tank off).

THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS.
