Default Need help please - weird engine pause

Hello,

I am new here and this is my first post. I have a 90 Convertible with 54K original miles on it.

My engine pauses briefly and without any set pattern. Usually it does this as I am backing out of the garage, or rolling up to a stop sign. If you have ever had a fuel pump go out, or a fuel filter clog - it's a lot like that only much briefer in duration. I feel certain it is electrical, but have no idea what is causing the stumble.

I have replaced the plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. The problem remains.

Does anyone have suggestions or ideas?

Thanks in advance.

What size engine?

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
Coil?
Injectors?

X2 on injector pulse. Unless you have tbi, then I would assume a clogged vacuum port.
