I failed to remove the dust shield from a JY AX-15 that I pulled and I don't have the original.
So - I'll likely have to build my own. Does the dustshield only go halfway up the bell to protect the bottom or does it go all the way around with a slot for the crank?
My wrangler shield covers nearly the entire bell, with an exception for the crank slot, but the Dakota bell seemed like it would only cover the bottom half.
yah, my 90 comanche had a ax-15, designed in italy, built in france. (something like that)
i would worry more about replacing the whole unit, just my opinion. pretty sure they put them in Chevy Cavaliers. nuf said.
The AX-15 is an Aisin transmission of decent quality, capable of withstanding the hp and torque from a high output 4.0L, and a light footed V8. The Peugot BA10/5 was built in france and is garbage.
Cavaliers are front wheel drive and never ran anything close to an AX-15.
