Default Flowmaster dual system for a 1992

I'm thinking about buying a flowmaster dual exhaust system from eBay for a total of $218. It comes with chrome tips, all necessary brackets/hangars and has mandrel bends. Does anyone have experience with this exhaust? Any comments or advice would be great too, thanks!

yeah what crazy said. but it does sound like a good cheap deal but man do i hate flowmaster. i do not like that sound at all. my only advice is find a kit like that but a different brand lol or buy it and sell the mufflers..get your money back just from those..then buy different ones haha but the sound you want is all personal preference so yeah.

And this is why I hate Fleabay. Flowmaster does NOT make a kit for our trucks, the only company I know of that currently produces a catback system for the 1st gen dakota is Dynomax and the part number is a 17443 I believe.

Thats all Flowmaster has available for our trucks.

Edit: I used my truck for the search, but its the same for all first gens that had the V6/V8

ill have to disagree man. sorry. ive seen kits for some others but really that flowmaster kit and what ive seen all look the same. a muffler with 2 tail pipes shaped like that. which is exactly what my setup is except my tips go out at the corner of the bumpers. it looks like that kit and all the others ive seen were really just universal ones for anything with the gas tank on the driver side lol

I simply said they do not make a kit for this truck trust me, I am a wholesale distributor for flowmaster, I have about $250,000 worth of there exhaust kits sitting behind me. There is nothing specifically made for our vehicles, and if you start cutting and modifying another exhaust to make it work you will void the warranty, which is pretty much the only reason to purchase a pre-fabricated kit. If you think it looks universal then go ahead and use it but when you have to break out the torch and welder to make it work be forwarned.

and i wasnt saying youre wrong. all i said is i disagree cause ive seen these so called kits for everything from flowmaster to magnaflow to dynomax to cherry bomb. even if they arent official name brand come with the shiney authenticity sticker like an nfl hat..they do exist. like i said they all are just a dual outlet muffler with 2 tailpipes that go straight..bend over the axel..and out the back. like i said..they all just look like universal ones for anything with the gas tank on the left. idc how much **** you say you have behind you..ive seen plenty of kits that are just like what that kit is like just with a different dual outlet muffler. that kit is nothing more than what a muffler shop would do just with the benefits of mandrel bends and lack of cutting..welding..clamps..etc. and im actually quite unimpressed with you using being a flowmaster wholesale distributor as a crutch..especially cause the fact that just a few days ago you had to ask about the location of where your cat used to be and cause now that you have one on now and its making noises you arent sure what it is. just seems like a wholesale distributor of a big company with that much merchandise behind him would know a little more.

besides..from looking at the link..it looks like its not even saying its an official flowmaster kit. its nothing more than 2 pipes suited to fit a dakota..maybe with some slight cutting to fit under it depending on short or long bed..extended or regular cab and comes with a flowmaster muffler.

also, according to the video, it is not a true dual exhaust, but a split exhaust at the muffler.

Might want to go to a local exhaust shop and just see what they charge for a true dual system.
