i have 1995 ram 1500 with a v6 3.9 magnum the motor is shot so i got a 1994 dakota 3.9 magnum the question i have is my 1500 is a 5 speed the motor i got is from a automatic dakota will this motor work with my 5speed

Yes it will work. Just use the Rams flywheel ect. I will move this to the 1st Generation Dakota Sub-Forum.

Default thank you

i thought it would but a friend of mine was telling me somthing about the tranny and the motor. that the motor must have a indention for the tranny to slide in or something like that. not the drive shaft.anyway thanks for the info

you will need to put a poilt bearing into the crank shaft if you are going from auto to standred trans.
The crank should be the same .
