I can't wait to get my 2" body kit.

Anyone know how easy it is to tighten the torsion keys to get more lift?
Yeah, the paint/clearcoat is horrible on these models. My roof and hood were really bad when I got the truck, a couple of rust spots on each. For a temp "fix," I just sanded the rust off and primered the roof and hood. Sprayed some forest green on the roof, looked like crap so I quit that lol.

Anyway, I protected it until I put a real paint job on it.

All depends on the type and quality of paint you want to use. Dodge black is cheap, or pearl / metallic paint would cost a lot more and you would probably have to do the whole truck to match. I have heard of pricing from $300 and up. Quality of work is also a factor.

Also was going to mention, if you are able to sand down the paint and take the hood off, that will save you some money as well.

Doing this would pretty much just save the body shop a step (and myself money?)

I seen the pic of your truck its pretty nice, alot nicer than mine. Also for the "autobody" painting, I would disagree with the whole idea, I used to work in a body shop for part time when school is out, and I have seen so many screw up in that place that I rather do it my self, Though if you guys still want that nice finish, just do it by hand or pay alot to get it good. Though the problem is don't do the sanding and the primer yourself, the main reason is that will give the painter a good excuse for doing a crappy job. I agree by taking the part off that you want painted will save a little time but not always money, and I would let them sand it off, it will save you blood sweat and tears and the possible excuse of a screw up.

As you probably are reading I dont trust my local body guys, he is a total cheat and has a monoply where I live, I am not saying they are all like that but try to get to know your body guy on a first hand basis.
And as for your truck, I would start making "custom" parts for it, I have done it for mine I am just waiting for the summer to install them. Good luck.

Yeah, I wish I could make custom parts for it. I don't really have the resources to do so.
