Front axle grenaded! Pics!
Well it happened again. 2nd time well sort of the first time was just the ring and pinion and spiders. This time everything is destroyed, including the case/Carrier and cross pin all all.
I was offroading with my friends one with a 82 Ramcharger and one with a 04 TJ Wrangler. We tried this very steep and sandy hill. I gunned it up 98% up and all I heard was loud Click Clack! I guess my 5.9 is to much for this weak front axle and 33's don't help.
Thank God it is tax time. I would love to do a SAS, but I don't think I have the time or money. I think I will find a junkyard set and maybe a new ring and pinion. But just have to wait for the IRS and shipping. Maybe a month or so. At least it is drivable in 2wd.

LOL! Oh yea that sucker is destroyed.
I guess it shows the front axle shafts and CV's and rear axle/locker can take more then the front ring and pinion and spiders, they are the weak links.
