Brake pettal is getting silly on me
Howdy i have a 1991 dodge dakota 5.2 90K miles just this past weekend put new rear shoes and drums on and every thing was adjusted properly after reassembly the brake pettal drops to the floor and braking is much different if i need to stop in a hurry the pettal drops all the way to the floor and i mean drops untill it bottoms out and doesnt go any further and the antilock and brake warning light will come on untill i relese the pettal then they go off the brake fluid is toped off and i didnt mess with anything other then the pads and hardware any ideas
My 91 is doing something very similar, I haven't messed with it yet because this is just a beater truck when I need a truck. I am going to remove the old brake fluid and replace with new then bleed the brakes of course to see if it makes a difference. One thing mine does that you didn't mention is when I go to let off the brakes it feels like something is hung up for a second and you hear a pop when you start accelerating. Again haven't looked into it because I put less then 100 miles on it in a month. If I figure anything out I will let you know.
