as far as i can tell, the frame is straight.will be posting pics during the swap.the truck drove perfect, besides the bumpyness, from the tires i'm guessing.the truck had been sitting for atleast 2 years,on flats.i let go of the wheel a cpl times, never pulled.planning on starting the build tuesday, after our weather straitens out a lil bit.

No the 2wd body didn't have a hole or stamped spot. I make a template from cardboard of the hole in relation to the body and seats ect. Then marked the carpet where to cut then marked the floor. I thougt I had it perfect but I was off I had to cut more and made a plate to cover the open area.

I would suggest to install the tranmission before the cut. So you can line up the shifter housing to the needed cut. Then cut once it looks good.

well, started the truck tonight.didnt take as many pics as i wanted to,because i was on a limited time,to get the job done.ecm took a crap on my back up dakota,so,since i started the build fri,me n the wife have been down to one vehicle.still have to get the bed on,jitch, bumpers grill and interior.will take some more pics tomorrow.wanted to hear it run.tranny hits gears.only snags i hit,was three of the body bolt nuts, broke loose, had to cut 2 holes in the floor board so i could weld em to the body.has been a long journey, figure right now,i have about 30 hrs in the swap.a buddy of mine has some second gen dakota seats,i think im gonna put in it.buckets, with a stationary console/center seat, which will be perfect, for my daughters car seat.
