Getting ready to replace timing chain - any advice?
Good luck totman!
I may be a dollar short and a day late but www.rockauto.com has the Cloyes double roller set and FelPro gasket set for under $50 shipped to your door.
Well I got it almost done, well atleast all the hard parts. I got the timing chain on in about 2 hours. I just have to reassemble the rest. Maybe I'll get pictures if I remember.
But all in all so far so good.

Got the timing chain install complete and wow what a big difference. Not only does it sound better but it idels and accelerates smoother. I couldn't be happier. Total job took me about 4.5 hours at my high school auto shop. Unfortunatly I forgot my camera at home otherwise I would have snapped some pics.
Thank you guys for all your help!

Its pretty easy dude, i just threw on a compcam double roller, no tensioner, bmp performance waterpump, and a 180 degree jet thermostat... if you can take it apart you can put it together!
Good luck!
