new 1st gen Dakota owner :D
Hey guys
Im new user to this forum just bought a dakota. Needed something to go fishing with and do a little offroading...
Im located in Quebec Canada. Think I got a good price on this dakota
1994 Dakota extended cab 4x4 v6 3.9 ( how these engines?) everything works great engine/transmission/ drivetrain etc. doesnt take ne oil and isnt leaking any where that i seen. Frame is in great shape.
232000 Kms on it not a single rust spot.
cost me $1500 Canadian
going to put a body lift on it when i find one . if ne one can point me in the direction and how hard it is to install.
and some 31s after. Those should fit.
here are some pics. any thoughts and advice would be great

Cool! Looks good. I miss the snow. We only got 1/4in tops.
For body lift go to www.summitracing.com For tons of info and modifying tips go to the FAQ and FAQ2 in this section.

oh damn you got lucky. that things sweet lol now all you need is a v8. you should be able to fit 31s on now if you wanted...i have some on with no lift.. i think the v6s are a lil lower so you might wanna crank the torsion bars up just to be safe. but yeah..just sayin lol its all up to you of course. as for the body lift..its not hard at all. i think they say 2 people is recommended and it takes about a day but 1 person can do it.
as you can see by the picture i just added a couple of extra leafs the back, you can get a shop to put them in or get some out of a full size ram at a junk yard. 2 leafs each side equals 2 inches exactly. i then turned up the front torsion bars 2 inches, threw on my 31's and that was it.
i found the extra leafs better than a block, i don't know if it is but it just looks safer. body lean around turns was also drastically reduced, stuck like glue in the turns. the best part is it really didn't ride any rougher.

i don`t know what year of ram will fit. crazy can probably tell you. i just know from this forum guys have done it (think crazy has).
i would look at the leafs, as long as they where the same width your good to go,
the thing about leafs is the length. when they installed mine they put a leaf that was almost equal to my longest one, then the second was almost as long as my second one. pretty sure the ram will have something that fits.
should be able to get something out of a 2500 Cummings turbo diesel, but i drove my ex girlfriends fathers Cummings back from the shop in 95 and it still hurts.
