I was driving home from work this morning and when i hit the brakes to make a turn at an intersection all of my lights dimmed followed by a puff of smoke and burnt plastic smell from the dash. Everything brightened back up in a few seconds and all lights are still working. Has anyone else had this happen? And what was the problem? The truck is a 93 ext cab 4x4 with the 3.9 any help will be apprciated.

 

Sounds like a short. Start by looking around the brake pedal. Maybe you cut wires when you hit on the brakes it pinched or something.
