Default Steering column replacement question

I have a quick question I have a 1988 Dak that has tilt steering and the column is bad. I need to replace it but would like to know if it is possible to replace the tilt steering with a non tilt steering column? Any help I could get with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Yes it is possible. For the electronics to work you would need a column from another dakota in that year. A newer year may work but you will need to swap over your electronics.
